Church Update - the sun is on the horizon

Posted: Wed. Feb, 17 2021

The water has been pumped out of the church. There is a lot of damage, and a very musty smell, but it's a start. Everything that was ruined is replaceable.

The good news is that our gracious building manager, as I have come to find out, a person that clearly loves the Lord, is going to allow us to use a vacant suite on the first floor of our building for church services until our own place is cleaned and restored. They are not even going to charge us rent. I would estimate at least two months, maybe three, to restore everything.

The building is still without power, so we will continue to teach classes from home, but when the power is restored we will be able to gather in suite 140.

There is still a lot of work to be done. We need to remove a lot of things from the church, throw out the damaged things, document it all in the hope of reimbursement, and move the equipment we need to hold and record services in the new location. It is a blessing that we can remain in the same building.

To any of the locals who want to help move and clear out things, let me know and we can coordinate.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement.
