Title: Angelic Conflict part 349: Future work of Christ [Bema seat] - GAL 6:6-10; MAT 6:19-34.

The Galatian saints who have deserted grace for law, are exhorted to put themselves under the ministry of the teachers who led them into grace, and are warned that if they do not, they will reap a harvest of corruption (6:6-10).

GAL 6:6 And let the one who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.

GAL 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

GAL 6:8 For the one who sows to [with a view to] his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to [with a view to] the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life [benefits of in time].

The resurrection life is of such impact to ourselves and others and is so beyond the life of the flesh that we are now exhorted to keep at it in perseverance and to not lose heart or grow weary in divine good production.

GAL 6:9 And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.

Fighting with the sin nature, the world system, and the KOD can be mentally exhausting. What is it that will keep us going? What is it that keeps a soldier going through a special forces school? It's not just physical conditioning since all of the candidates have that at the beginning, but it is the mental toughness of wisdom and proper motivation. All believer have the position, but not all plug in learning so that they develop the mental toughness of wisdom and proper motivation. When fear creeps in due to a vision of the future, a vision that you see yourself as unable to handle, then quitting becomes much easier. Once the mind has made itself up and quits it becomes more difficult to return.

"lose heart" - temptation to slacken effort by reason of weariness caused by the prolonged effort. "weary" - to be overcome with pressure and fatigue.

In the continued sowing and reaping metaphor the word lose heart [enkakeo] would refer to the farmer who is tempted to slacken his efforts by reason of weariness caused by the prolonged effort. You can imagine a huge field with 500 rows of vines and you're tired of harvesting and you're less than halfway through and you pause to look over the top and see countless vines. The word weary [ekluo - to release, or to relax effort] is the farmer overcome with heat and fatigue.

MAT 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

MAT 6:20 "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

MAT 6:21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

MAT 6:22 "The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

What constitutes a clear eye is given in the mystery doctrine.

EPH 1:18-19

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.

MAT 6:23 "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

What constitutes darkness within is also fully revealed in the NT mystery doctrine.

Darkness is in the thinking of the person who has rejected Christ as Savior, 2CO 6:14.

2CO 6:14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

2CO 6:15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

2CO 6:16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God

Darkness is dispelled when a person accepts Christ as Savior.

EPH 5:8-10

for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn [dokimazo = proving] what is pleasing to the Lord.

Fellowshipcommunionpartnershipabiding in Christ is walking in the light or a lifestyle of light. Believer's who do, enjoy fellowship with one another, 1JO 1:5-7.

1JO 1:5 And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

1JO 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;

1JO 1:7 but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Darkness manifests fear and fear manifests hatred of even royal family, 1JO 2:9; 4:18.

1JO 2:9 The one who says he is in the light and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now.

1JO 2:10 The one who loves his brother abides in the light and there is no cause for stumbling in him.

1JO 2:11 But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

1JO 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

1JO 4:19 We love, because He first loved us.

1JO 4:20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

1JO 4:21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
