Angelic Conflict part 355: Future work of Christ; Judgment and Reigning – Gal 6:6-10; Luk 1:26-33; Act 2:25-31; 1Co 15:20-28.

Title: Angelic Conflict part 355: Future work of Christ; Judgment and Reigning – Gal 6:6-10; Luk 1:26-33; Act 2:25-31; 1Co 15:20-28.

Gal 6:6 And let the one who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

Gal 6:8 For the one who sows to [with a view to] his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to [with a view to] the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life [benefits of in time].

Gal 6:9 And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.

"Lose heart" - envisioning endless future work rather than living one day at a time. "Weary" - relaxing effort as if energy needs to be conserved.

Motivation is key here. The benefit to finishing is the harvest, "in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary." When we're done and the harvest is in then we can celebrate as Israel did in their last feast, the Feast of Tabernacles when the harvest was all in. We will dine with Christ at our wedding feast where we will drink aged wine and feast on marrow. Christ only sat at the right hand of the Father after it was completed. And so, once again, He becomes our motivation.

Heb 12:3-4

For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart. You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin [opposition in us and in others]

Gal 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity [same word translated "time" in verse 9, "due season" in KJV], let us do good to all men, and especially [most of all or above all] to those who are of the household of the faith.

"opportunity" - time set by the Father (Eph 2:10) of which we are to be alert for its recognition.

Eph 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

"Let us do" is ergazomai which refers to work or action. Opportunity may seem like I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity. Although God has predestined the work that we are to do, we should still be alert to where that work is, and so, as those who are awake in the spiritual life, we do not wait for the opportunity or time to bite us on the leg, but we actively look for it.

"the good" - to,avgaqo,j[to agathos] preceded by the article refers to God's good and not just any good. (2Co 5:10)

Divine good is the production of the Holy Spirit within the believer who has the faith to be led, empowered, and instructed by the invisible and unfelt Holy Spirit within. In this he has a mind set towards the things of the Spirit; he sows with a view to the things of the Spirit. He recovers from personal sin and sets his mind on the things of God that are in God's word and in the faith that the Spirit will lead, teach, and empower him in that endeavor. In reality the Spirit does the work when our faith is put in Him and the word of God.

Both household and faith also have the article preceding so it refers to one faith and one household, which is obviously the royal family of God. We are to express divine good to all men, and above all, to the royal family of God.

Divine good fruit brings maximum glory to the Father and brings phenomenal rewards at the Bema Seat of Christ.
