Angelic Conflict part 350: Future work of Christ [Bema seat] – Gal 6:6-10; Mat 6:19-34.Title: Angelic Conflict part 350: Future work of Christ [Bema seat] – Gal 6:6-10; Mat 6:19-34.
Mat 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Mat 6:20 "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;
Mat 6:21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Mat 6:22 "The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear [singular in purpose], your whole body will be full of light.
What constitutes a clear eye is given in the mystery doctrine.
Eph 1:18-19 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
Mat 6:23 "But if your eye is bad [evil or double minded], your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
What constitutes darkness within is also fully revealed in the NT mystery doctrine.
Darkness is in the thinking of the person who has rejected Christ as Savior, 2Co 6:14.
Darkness is dispelled when a person accepts Christ as Savior, Eph 5:8-10.
Fellowship/communion/partnership/abiding in Christ is walking in the light or a lifestyle of light. Believer's who do, enjoy fellowship with one another, 1Jo 1:5-7.
Darkness manifests fear and fear manifests hatred of even royal family, 1Jo 2:9; 4:18.
Both light and darkness are kingdoms.
Col 1:13 For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son
There are three interrelated ideas which must be consideered in establishing a biblical concept of the term kingdom. The biblical concept of "kingdom." 1. The right to rule - granted dominion and authority. 2. The realm of rule - the subjects and area under authority. 3. The reality of rule - the actual exercise of authority.
There are several categories of kingdoms in the Bible, and here is one of falsehood, sin, and evil in which the unbeliever is enslaved and the other is purity, light, righteousness, love, etc. to which all believers have been delivered.
How sad it is for us to be delivered from a dark kingdom, become subjects of the kingdom of light and then return to the dark kingdom in which to live out our lives. This dark kingdom only produces corruption.
And there is one other piece to the kingdom and that is the queen.
There is a king and queen and subjects.
For darkness the king is satan and the queen is sin and death and the subjects are the unbelievers. For light the King is Christ and the queen is grace and the subjects are believers.
The believer will always be a subject in Christ's kingdom though he may move his residence back to the dark kingdom. And Christ will not abandon his subjects to the dark kingdom but will Himself seek them out as the Great Shepherd by using warnings and disciplines and yet without violating their free will.
Rom 5:21 as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Though we are delivered from darkness we can quickly submit ourselves to its domain if we don't submit our will to the domain of light, consisting of doctrine and the F/HS, 2Co 4:6.
2Co 4:1 Therefore, since we have this ministry [the ministry of the Spirit in revealing the glory of the Son of God through the word of God], as we received mercy [no longer under judgment], we do not lose heart,
2Co 4:2 but we have renounced the things hidden [in darkness] because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
"shame" - aivscu,nh[aischune] = a painful feeling due to the consciousness of having done or experienced something disgraceful.
As God has equipped our bodies with symptoms of physical sickness so He has equipped our souls with symptoms of spiritual sickness. There is only one prescription for spiritual sickness though many look to other methods that only temporarily relieve the symptoms, which will only return with more intensity.
God's truth is pure and so when Paul and his workmen manifested the truth, not for profit (disgraceful) or with crafty gimmicks that appeal to the flesh (disgraceful), but in commending (what one appears to be) themselves from God's truth only, they appeared before the conscience of others as though appearing before God Himself. That is open in the truth and in the light of God and without the fear of men or a desire for the approbation of men or of secretly feeding self-desire (adulterating), for God is not mocked. We may secretly want something that we hide from appearances and in that we will only reap corruption. Live before others as in the sight of God and then there is no reason to hide anything (stop lying to one another, Col 3:9). This is key to the production of divine good.
2Co 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
2Co 4:4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving [those who continue to reject the gospel], that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2Co 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.
2Co 4:6 For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
2Co 3:12 Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech,
2Co3:13 and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away.
2Co3:14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.
2Co3:15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart;
2Co3:16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2Co3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
