Angelic Conflict part 222: Human history (the Church) – Heb 10:19-25; 12:18-24; Isa 61:1; 66:1; Zec 6:13; Isa 25:7.

Title: Angelic Conflict part 221: Human history (the Church) – Heb 10:19-25; 12:18-24; Isa 61:1; 66:1; Zec 6:13; Isa 25:7.

The church is to assemble together whenever possible for encouragement from doctrine and to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, Heb 10:24-25.

Heb 10:19 Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

It is for this reason that Christ was born.

Isa 61:1

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,

Because the Lord has anointed me

To bring good news to the afflicted;

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to captives,

And freedom to prisoners;

“confidence” – parrhsi,a[parresia] = lit. “all speech”; freedom of speech, to speak with courage and confidence.

And this boldness rests on the finished work of the Savior. On the Day of Atonement, the high priest could not enter the holy of holies unless he had the blood of the sacrifice. The true sacrifice came into the world as the God-Man and after His cross our entrance into God's presence is not because of an animal's blood, but because of Christ's unlimited atonement.

We don’t come before God with any sacrifice. This eliminates all legalism and works and makes fellowship with God based on grace alone. It is finished. We approach with boldness based solely on the finished work of Christ. This is new and living and not of the old letter of the Law, a law of sin and death. It is living because Christ is alive at the right hand of God, ever ready to make intercession for us.

Heb 10:19 Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

Heb 10:20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Eph 3:12

in whom [TLJC] we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.

‎Our confident access is the result of our Forerunner and High Priest making atonement with His blood [spiritual death] and sitting continually before God.

It is His having once for all entered as our Forerunner and High Priest, making atonement for us with His blood [spiritual death] and being continually before God, that gives us confident access.

Heb 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,

Heb 6:20where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Zec 6:13

"Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will bear the honor and sit and rule on His throne. Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices."' [priest and king]

When we come to hear the word of God, when we pray, when we meditate on His word, when we are applying truth, producing fruit, comforting, bearing, ministering, etc. we are standing in the presence of God in the Holy of Holies, at His throne, in essence as high priests without sacrifices of blood as our Forerunner, the High Priest and King has gone before us with His blood; His substitutionary spiritual death.

No priestly caste now mediates between the sinner and his Judge. We may come with loving confidence, not slavish fear, directly through Christ, the only mediating Priest.

Gathering for this reason alone is what promotes love, good works, ministering, and obedience as humble students of the word of God and eliminates contention, strife, jealously, and division.

Christ is not divided, is He?

The minister is not officially nearer God than the parishioner; nor can the member of the congregation serve God at a distance, or by deputy, as the natural man likes.

Each must come for himself; all are accepted when they come by the new and living way opened by Christ. Thus all Christians are, as to access directly to God, virtually high priests (Rev 1:6).

Rev 1:6

and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father; to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

They draw right into the holy place, the throne of the Almighty, through Christ, the only proper High Priest (Heb 7:25).

Heb 7:25 Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

The religious hierarchy set up in many denominations in the CA are a way of fooling Christians into denying this truth. They have taken from the OT hierarchy of high priest, priests, Levites, men, women, and then Gentiles, which caste system has been abolished by Christ when He tore the veil, and have duped the ignorant into thinking that only the pastor or the minister or the priest can come close to God. Many have altars that only the “holy reverend” can approach and touch. This is all nonsense. We all approach the throne of God together when we listen to God’s word and we do so with confidence knowing that our forerunner tore the veil and entered in before us; He who is constantly interceding for us.

Heb 10:19 Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

Heb 10:20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Isa 25:7

And on this mountain [Zion] He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations.

Heb 8:13 When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.
