Angelic Conflict part 115: Human history – Phi 3:9; Lev 46:40-42; Jer 3:11-18; Hos 5:15; Mat 23:39; Dan 9:24-27; Mat 24:15-28.

Title: Angelic Conflict part 115: Human history – Phi 3:9; Lev 46:40-42; Jer 3:11-18; Hos 5:15; Mat 23:39; Dan 9:24-27; Mat 24:15-28.

Arab Israeli Conflict, Gen 16:7-16; 21:8-21.

The unlikely conflict that has arisen from the conflict in Abraham’s tent between Hagar and Sarah and Ishmael and Isaac was revealed by Paul in the NT in the book of Galatians and the writer of Hebrews:

Law [Hagar – Sinai] vs. grace [Sarah – heavenly Jerusalem or Zion]; flesh [Ishmael – child of the flesh] vs. Spirit [Isaac – child of the Spirit or promise].

The hatred of the Jew, God’s nation, by satan and the Gentile nations that he uses is the same as the hatred of the Spirit by the flesh and the hatred of grace by the Law.

It is difficult to imagine that the Law could be anti-grace since the Law was given by God, but we must remember that the Law was given to reveal the sinfulness of man and his inability to be righteous outside of faith in the person and work of Christ. The Law becomes an enemy of grace only when a person uses it to attempt to become righteous.

Phi 3:9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

So as there is anti-Semitism, there is anti-grace and anti-Spirit thought in this world, all of which is caused by satan through human pawns, both ignorant and cognizant.

Anti-Semitism [Fruchtenbaum, Israelology]

A basic definition of anti-Semitism is “the hatred or persecution of the Jew.”

Theologically, satan is the cause of anti-Semitism, while Gentile nations are used by him.

Satan hates the nation through whom has come so much blessing to the world, especially the Savior.

satan tried to prevent the first coming and he is currently trying to prevent the second coming.

When speaking of the basis of the Second Coming, there are two facets to this basis.

First, there must be the confession of Israel’s national sin (Lev. 26:40-42; Jer. 3:11-18; Hos. 5:15).

Lev 26:40 If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me —

Lev 26:41 I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies —  or if their uncircumcised heart becomes humbled so that they then make amends for their iniquity,

Lev 26:42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.

This in no way makes the Abrahamic Covenant conditional. To believe in Christ, as these Tribulational saints will do as they head for the wilderness, is to acknowledge the iniquity of those Jews before them who rejected Christ, as in the Exodus, and in Israel, and in Judah, and when they yelled “crucify Him,” to Pilate. God’s hostility toward them was the wandering in the desert for 40 years and the subsequent death of the first generation of the Exodus, and in the captivity of Israel by the Assyrians and Judah by the Babylonians and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD and the subsequent scattering of the Jews all over the world. These, fleeing to the wilderness because of their faith in Christ would recognize and acknowledge the error of their ancestors and their fleshly [uncircumcised] hearts would be humbled.

Jer 3:11 And the Lord  said to me, "Faithless Israel has proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.

Jer 3:12"Go, and proclaim these words toward the north and say,

'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the Lord ;

'I will not look upon you in anger.

For I am gracious,' declares the Lord ;

'I will not be angry forever.

Jer 3:13'Only acknowledge your iniquity,

That you have transgressed against the Lord  your God

And have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,' declares the Lord .

Jer 3:14'Return, O faithless sons,' declares the Lord ;'

For I am a master to you,

And I will take you one from a city and two from a family,

And I will bring you to Zion.'

Israel never returned after the Assyrian captivity, so the gathering of them to Zion must still yet be future, and it is, at the second coming of Christ.

Jer 3:15"Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.

Jer 3:16"And it shall be in those days when you are multiplied and increased in the land," declares the Lord , "they shall say no more, 'The ark of the covenant of the Lord .' And it shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they miss it, nor shall it be made again.

There is no ark of the covenant in the Millennial temple.

Jer 3:17"At that time they shall call Jerusalem 'The Throne of the Lord ,' and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord ; nor shall they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart.

Jer 3:18"In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

This has also never happened. When the northern Israel split from the southern Judah after the reign of Solomon, they never united again. If you recall, a certain king of Judah named Jehoshophat tried to unite them through the marriage of his son and the daughter of Ahab, king of Israel, and that was a disaster.

Only the return of Christ will reunite all twelve tribes and re-establish their client nation status.

Mat 19:26

And looking upon them Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Hos 5:14 For I will be like a lion to Ephraim,

And like a young lion to the house of Judah.

I, even I, will tear to pieces and go away,

I will carry away, and there will be none to deliver.

Ephraim [Israel] and Judah worshipped false gods and idols and they were both carried away. “None” [man] will deliver, but Christ will at the second coming.

Hos 5:15 I will go away and return to My place

Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face [born again Jews in Tribulation];

In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.

And second, a pleading for the Messiah to return (Zech. 12:10; Mat. 23:37-39).

Zec 12:10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.

Mat 23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.

One scratches his head when a hyper-Calvinist states that there is no free will in man.

Mat 23:38"Behold, your house is being left to you desolate!

“left to you desolate” – fall of Jerusalem and utter destruction of the temple in 70 AD.

Mat 23:39"For I say to you, from now on [after the ascension] you shall not see Me until you say, ' Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

This is not a collective salvation, but a gathering of all born again Jews into client nation status as was promised to Abraham; therefore, it is a national salvation.

If satan can ever succeed in destroying the Jews before there is a national salvation, then satan’s career is eternally safe.

For this reason satan has an unending war against the Jew. This is why once the Tribulation comes and satan knows his time is short, he will expend all his energies to try to destroy the Jews once and for all.

The biblical cause of anti-Semitism is satan. God permits it; and the reason it is within His permissive will is Israel’s sins, which ultimately leads to God’s glory through their survival.

Dan 9:24 "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.

70 weeks: 69 weeks [seven years] until Messiah and then the 70th week is the Tribulation [mystery CA intercalated], which will finish the transgression.

Dan 9:25 "So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks [49 years to rebuild] and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.

A prophecy given here just cannot be overlooked: stated briefly:

Decree to rebuild Jerusalem: 14th March, B.C. 445.

69 weeks of prophetic years of 360 days = 173,880 days.

Days from decree = 6th April, A.D. 32

Dan 9:26 "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood [of Romans]; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

Dan 9:27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week [70th week], but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
