It is God’s will to mold an honorable life around an honorable soul; John 15:16.Title: It is God’s will to mold an honorable life around an honorable soul; John 15:16.
Rom 9:19 You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?"
These are the two anticipated questions of the desperate unbeliever and not a legitimate questions.
Rom 9:20 On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to [or contradicts] God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?
God has molded your circumstances but He is not responsible for the state of your soul. Man is a free agent and has self-determination. The answer to this rhetorical question is an obvious no, I cannot contradict God, nor can I challenge Him on the state of my circumstances.
Rom 9:21 Or does not the potter have a right [authority] over the clay, to make from the same lump [all of us are born in sin, in spiritual death] one vessel for honorable use, and another for common use?
“vessel” – the body. What determines the type of vessel is what it will hold, and in this analogy it will hold a soul of an unbeliever, a loser believer, or a winner believer.
Placed in each vessel is free will. Honor or dishonor is determined by that free will and not by God. God determines the circumstances of your vessel based on your own decisions in time that He foresaw in EP.
It is the soul that determines honor or dishonor. Your outward beauty and symmetry or lack of is of no consequence.
What God will determine [Sovereign will] or allow [Permissive will] based on positive or negative decisions constitutes the conditions and circumstances of a person’s life.
However, none of us know what those circumstances might be. We must simply have faith in the promises of God.
God foresees the type of soul and molds the life accordingly, just like the potter knows what will be in the vessel he is about to make.
For example, for the younger believers, is God going to bless you with right man right woman, prosperous Christian marriage? That depends on if you are the right man or right woman, not just chosen, but virtuous. Do you have the capacity as a man to love your right woman as Christ loves the Church? Do you have capacity as a woman to respond to the right man’s authority as the Church should to Christ? In other words, do you have an honorable soul based on imputed righteousness (you are a believer) and faith in the doctrine that makes for experiential righteousness, which is possessing honor as a member of the RFOG?
Take any other circumstance comprising God’s desire to bless and ask yourself if you are on your way to developing the virtues that come by faith in the word of God, by grace, and not by self-righteousness, legalism, works or any other room in C1 or C2.
This is niche orientation.
Niche is defined as a place, condition or status suitable to the capabilities, happiness, and merits of an individual believer.
A niche is not a slot in life, but a nest which is built from many materials (doctrines). The believer’s niche is composed of many strands from his own portfolio of invisible assets prepared for him by God in eternity past.
When the nest is finished it includes spiritual self-esteem, capacity for life, a combination of finding a series of right things, and contentment in every circumstance in life.
God has a personal plan for you that fits your personality. Niche orientation is a combination of finding a series of right things based upon your capacity for them.
a. Doctrinal teaching from your right pastor. You must start with doctrine. You must be faithful under your right pastor who communicates doctrine so that you can understand the following issues in the privacy of your own priesthood.
b. Spiritual life and eventually Christian service. Divine revelation through God the HS is very personal. Time must be taken while doctrine is inculcated to develop an understanding of the spiritual life and your place in it. Eventually legitimate Christian service becomes a major part of your life, but only after spiritual growth.
c. Right social life. So many people are ruined by the wrong social life where their friends are a bad influence on them, or where they change their standards to conform to some social experience. Finding the right social life is extremely important. The best way is to start out is with no social life at all, because what you really are is what you are when you are alone. Being alone for a while will help you to understand what your needs are and in what areas your capacity is missing.
d. Marital experience. It’s very difficult for anyone to find their real personality and niche orientation in marital status. It’s better to discover this first while still single.
e. Business and professional life. What are you going to do in life? How will you make a living? Where do your interests lie? What are you best fitted for? What are your limitations? If you start by recognizing your limitations, you generally have a better chance because you’re approaching the problem from humility rather than from arrogance.
f. Academic life, as a student or as a teacher.
g. Job or position in life. There is a job or position that goes with your personality which means tranquillity in your life. Your success is not measured by what you do for a living, but, in God’s eyes, your success is measured by your advance to spiritual maturity. We live in the dispensation of invisible impact.
God has a bucket list for you. You can make your own, but God has something far greater.
Prosperity in each of these areas depends on capacity for them through your intake of doctrine.
Imputed righteousness is the target of all blessing when capacity from metabolized doctrine exists in the heart creating experiential righteousness.
This is the real beauty and truth of this section of scripture. This is the challenge in the book of Romans, where the reality is set forth after positional truth has been completely taught. Satan has had most of Christianity arguing over double predestination, Calvinism, free will, no free will, etc. when these things should have already been understood as the foundation of the real truth in Rom 9. I don’t think satan cares whether you believe in calvin or hobbs or whatever, as long as he has us arguing over things that are not even a part of this passage so that we will miss its intended meaning.
The issue is – Does the individual vessel recognize divine authority in life, in salvation, and in post-salvation?
Divine authority has been given to the living word – Jesus Christ and is expressed in the written word – the mind of Christ.
2 Tim 2:20 Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor.
2 Tim 2:21 Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart from C1 and C2], useful to the Master [producing fruit], prepared for every good work.
Cleansing comes from rebound and the recovery of doctrine. “things” – wickedness, entanglement in the details of life, going astray from the truth. [new] |
