Sharing the happiness of God, part 17, the rooms of cosmic 2 and the choice between darkness and light; John 15:11.Title: Sharing the happiness of God, part 17, the rooms of cosmic 2 and the choice between darkness and light; John 15:11.
Cosmic two: the hatred complex – fighting God.
Room #1: Negative volition at God consciousness, gospel hearing, or post-salvation NVTD.
Room #2: Cosmic degeneration. The result of prolonged residence in cosmic 1 where the individual rejects the God’s natural laws of normal living.
Room #3: The antiestablishment gate. The hatred of divine establishment.
Room #4: The cosmic panaceas. The individual seeking solutions to life apart from divine truth and in human viewpoint.
Room #5: The room of religion. Religion is Satan’s counterfeit of the plan of God for the believer in Christ.
Room #6: The room of demonism, which is the function of fallen angels under the command of satan to gain control of mankind.
To the believer, the power of demonism is limited since the believer cannot be demon possessed or physically molested by demons in any way.
The unbeliever can be demon possessed, but he would have to be so far gone in divine establishment reversionism and he would also have to give permission, as Judas did.
The believer can be influenced in his thinking by demons to the point where he believes and applies doctrines of demons. You should not fear, but be alert to these false doctrines.
1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
1 Peter 5:7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
1 Peter 5:11 To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking the demons are the cause of every non-palatable effect and also, don’t be afraid of any of them since you are protected to a certain extent by your position in Christ.
1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
The believer can lose the filling of the HS, which occurs when he enters cosmic one or cosmic two, but he can never lose the indwelling of the HS because, forever, his body is the temple of God and no demon, no matter how powerful, can tread there.
Yet, this is still a spectacular room which has supernatural influence of the wrong kind.
Avoiding demon influence is easy enough. It takes daily intake of sound doctrine and consistent rebounding when necessary.
God has made it easy for us to avoid the falsehood of these spectacular and physically superior creatures since it was He who defeated them at the cross. We simply choose for the work that God has done.
Eph 4:8 Therefore it says, "When He ascended on high, He led captive a host of captives, And He gave gifts to men."
They are simply awaiting the execution of the sentence against them. They have been found guilty and final judgment is a certainty, however, no believer will ever be judged, for his judgment has already occurred upon Christ. Therefore, though the bark and roar and attempt to confuse, deceive, and distract, they really have no power since they are destined for judgment.
Room #7: Theological academic speculation above the function of the living word in love.
This is a room for the so called doctrinal believer who is seeking approbation lust through knowledge, but it not metabolizing and applying doctrine so as to develop love.
This believer is not interested in self-sacrifice so as to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. He is only interested in himself. The academia appeals to his arrogance, as it does in cosmic one, but this is not secular academia, this is doctrine that stops at gnosis, or knowledge only.
Often times this believer is a doctrinal bully. He adheres to a certain vocabulary and is offended or insulted in his hatred towards humility when a believer from another church uses a different vocabulary. He has the attitude that his local assembly is the only one doing it right and that he is a champion of this superiority.
Stopping at perception of doctrine and inflating an ego as theologically superior is a grave falsehood and leads to a degenerate mind that lives in arrogance and in hatred towards divine love.
There is a hierarchy to things. Aristotle wrote of this in his book, Ethics. His example was a bridle. A bridle is made so that a horse can be directed, but a bridle isn’t going to be much good to you if you don’t have a horse. The horse and bridle won’t be much good to you if you don’t know how to ride a horse and so horsemanship becomes higher than the horse which is higher than the bridle. If the purpose for riding is to be a part of the cavalry in the army then the cavalry is yet higher and by continued purpose, victory in war is higher still. Yet, why would one need victory in war? Whether it is to conquer your enemy or to defend your own liberty, then that is the highest purpose.
So we go from victory in battle to cavalry to horsemanship to horse to bridle.
There is a certain hierarchy to spiritual things as well. A believer perceives doctrine so that he may metabolize it. He metabolizes it so that he may apply it. He applies it so that he may overcome the problems in life. He overcomes the problems in life that he may see his personal sense of destiny. He sees his PSD so that he may develop virtue love. He develops virtue love so that he may be filled with the happiness of Christ. He is filled with the happiness of Christ so that he may gain capacity to receive his escrow blessings. He receives his escrow blessings so that he may glorify God.
There are hundreds of smaller steps that we could add, but in a big picture kind of way, you should get the idea. I can’t jump ahead to God’s happiness without perception of doctrine just like I can’t jump to victory in the battlefield unless I make good bridles. I cannot stop at perception of doctrine and claim that I have glorified God just like a battlefield victory cannot be claimed from a heap of good bridles.
And think about the time involved. It takes time to make the bridles, to train the horse for battle, to train the rider of the horse, to train the cavalry, and to develop tactics that use the cavalry to maximum effectiveness. If this process is rushed, bridles may fail and horses can no longer be controlled, inexperienced riders may fall, untrained horses may run from the noise and chaos of battles.
Quick fixes and short term solutions are not lasting.
In order for the believer to truly possess the happiness of God he must not stop at perception of doctrine, rather he must devote his life to the application of wisdom and execution of God’s plan.
This theological academic arrogance generally happens to men, although some women fall for it as well. It’s no surprise that this was found in the church at Corinth.
1 Cor 8:1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.
“knowledge” – gnwsij[gnosis] = perception of doctrine without metabolization. Metabolization occurs when faith is mixed with gnosis under the FHS producing epignosis in the heart.
Knowledge alone remains in the mind and does not transfer to the heart. What does transfer to the heart for these believers is their faith in their own superiority over others. They are quick to speak and slow to listen. They are always looking to correct others, to show others where they are off in their own inflated estimation, and to be the Bible answer man in every situation.
The true proverb has advice for this type of fool:
Prov 17:28 Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is counted prudent.
Keep silent and be thought wise, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
If another believer asks your advice and you know the answer you should answer. That’s not this room. This room is for the pompous theologian who has no interest in glorifying God.
The knowledge being referred to in 1 Cor 8:1 is the truth that there are no real idols, so food sacrificed to an idol doesn’t actually matter. Knowing that, in the liberty that knowledge gives, the believer may eat. It doesn’t make him worse or better.
However, if knowing this, and knowing also that he is in the presence of a weak believer who doesn’t know this and he openly eats meat sacrificed to the idol in the presence of that one, then he is defiled. The weak one who thinks the idol is something sees the doctrinal one eat freely and so it gives more credibility to the idol.
But you see this is the best steak in town. So what if the weak believer sees me, I want this steak!! So you have knowledge but no love.
This applies, as God saw that it would, to many aspects of life. We no longer have meat sacrificed to idols; we have massive plants that butcher meat for us.
Knowledge alone makes one arrogant. It feeds his superiority complex as he gains more knowledge without metabolizing it and applying it so as to learn humility and love.
Wisdom of doctrine, which goes way beyond knowledge and requires metabolization and application, leads a believer to have a desire and motivation for others. He would not want to do anything that may cause his brother to stumble, especially the weak brother who is new into doctrine and so he lays aside whatever is lawful for him so that he may not put a stumbling block before them.
1 Cor 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1 Cor 13:2 And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
Room #8: The old sin nature function if human good. This is the idea that one can be good without a relationship with God.
The only real good is divine good. This is good performed through the power of God. Any true good comes from abiding in the true vine, whereby we produce fruit.
Human good is relative to the human race and is based on a scale of man’s good. It is based upon relative morality. Morality is not divine good.
When human good is compared with the human good of others it results in competition based upon a false perception that one can actually see the good in another when no one can see anyone’s true motivation. The comparative competition results in evil, which is personal sin mixed with human good resulting in self-righteousness.
Room #9: The evil policy of Satan – elevate the creature above the Creator.
This overall blanket policy is behind every scheme of the devil. When your demands are more important than the plan of God you are here. When other relationships are more important than your relationship with God, you are here. When you seek to find your life apart from the One who created it and base your identity from your environment and other people, you are here.
Rom 1:25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. |
