i. God is glorified by the rebuilding of the temple by the returned exiles, HAG 1:8.

There is a note of selfishness and neglect of the things of God associated with this that continues to apply to us today. So we will read the context.

HAG 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king [third king of Persia after Cyrus but only about 8 years after the return of the exiles], on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord came by the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest saying,

HAG 1:2"Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'This people says," The time has not come, even the time for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt. "'"

HAG 1:3Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet saying,

HAG 1:4"Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house lies desolate?"

HAG 1:5Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts, "Consider your ways!

HAG 1:6"You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes."

HAG 1:7Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Consider your ways!

HAG 1:8"Go up to the mountains, bring wood and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it and be glorified," says the Lord.

HAG 1:9"You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?" declares the Lord of hosts, "Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house.

j. God is glorified by the destruction of Israel’s enemies, Ezek 28:22.

Ezek 28:22

and say,'Thus says the Lord God,

"Behold, I am against you, O Sidon,

And I shall be glorified in your midst.

Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I execute judgments in her,

And I shall manifest My holiness in her.

k. God is glorified by the fulfillment of the four unconditional covenants to Israel during the Millennium, ISA 60:21.

ISA 60:21

"Then all your people will be righteous;

They will possess the land forever,

The branch of My planting,

The work of My hands,

That I may be glorified.

Ps 86:9

All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord;

And they shall glorify Thy name.

Point 4: Becoming an expert witness for the prosecution in the Angelic Conflict glorifies God.
